Indonesische christenen gestraft met stokslagen onder sharia-wetgeving
In de Indonesische provincie Banda Atjeh werd een christelijk koppel gestraft met stokslagen onder de sharia-wetgeving. Zij werden door de politie beschuldigd van gokken.
De twee christenen, Dahlan Silitonga en Tjia Nyuk Hwa, werden respectievelijk zes en zeven keer geslagen door een gemaskerde man met een gewaad. Ondertussen werden zij bespot door een menigte van 300 man.
